Many of us have experienced changes to our workplaces, procedures, and workflow during this extraordinary time, and the same is true of students from Colorado Law.  At the University of Colorado Law School, our students have been learning remotely for several weeks and will complete their final exams remotely as well.  Their strong work ethic and adaptability has been inspiring.

We know many employers have had to make difficult decisions in the last month and there are undoubtedly difficult decisions that remain to be made.  Numerous employers have had to reconsider summer internship opportunities and withdraw summer offers or suspend summer hiring.  However, we also know that a constantly changing regulatory landscape and increased need from our most vulnerable populations means that many of you may find yourselves needing additional help.

If you have a need for such help, please consider hiring a Colorado Law student as a summer or fall intern.  We still have wonderful 1L and 2L candidates actively seeking summer opportunities who are available to work on either a full-time, part-time, or project-by-project basis.  Notably, these students are comfortable with and able to participate in remote interviews. Just as they’ve transitioned successfully to a remote learning environment, they will be able to work remotely as needed – whether for the beginning of the summer or the entirety.

Our Career Development Office is happy to post summer or fall positions on our jobs board.  All you need to do is complete this form and our CDO will conduct targeted outreach to qualified students.  If you’d like to discuss creative options for the summer or would like some help thinking about how a remote opportunity might work, please feel free to reach out to our Assistant Dean for Employer Relations and Outreach Marci Fulton.

A sincere thanks to you for all you do for Colorado Law.  My very best to you during these challenging times.

Be well,

James (Jim) Anaya
